This policy explains what information FragZone (fragzone.pro) collects, why, and the choices you have. You can read news, watch streams and browse esports data without an account.
If you create an account, your email address and password are stored by our authentication provider, Supabase. Passwords are stored hashed and we never see them. You can optionally add a display name, bio, avatar and banner colour to your profile.
When you are signed in we store what you do with account features: bookmarked articles and the streamers you follow. Earlier versions of the site also had comments, community posts, reactions, match predictions, polls, badges, a daily quiz with FragCoins and team follows. Anything you created with those is still stored until we delete it, and we will remove yours on request through the contact page.
If you turn on push notifications, we store your browser’s push subscription so we can tell you when streamers you follow go live. If you opt in to the weekly digest, we use your email address to send it. Both can be turned off at any time from your profile or browser settings. Emails are sent through our email provider, Resend. Messages you send through the contact form, including your email address, reach us the same way.
We use your browser’s local storage to remember preferences such as light or dark theme, news and game filters, articles you save without an account, and whether you dismissed the install prompt. Signing in sets cookies that keep you logged in. This information stays on your device.
We use Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand how the site is used and how quickly pages load: pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location. Google Analytics uses cookies; Vercel Web Analytics does not.
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to FragZone and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info. Live streams are embedded from Twitch. When you play an embedded stream, Twitch may collect data under its own privacy policy. News stories link to their original publishers (such as Dexerto and Dot Esports), and we are not responsible for those sites’ privacy practices. Match data is provided by PandaScore; no personal information is shared with them.
Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Push subscriptions that stop working are removed automatically, and records of sent live notifications are deleted after 48 hours. Analytics data is kept according to each provider’s retention settings.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to how it is used. To make a request, including deleting your account and everything linked to it, contact us.
FragZone is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
